Have you had the water through the roof,yet? Me pal has 5 of these in his fleet,and 3 have their own beach-towels,laid out...at the local dealer

Gearbox issues,VVT fails,ECU's,wiring,ABS and door lock problems...i don't think this is what Hitler had in mind,for "the peoples car..."

Stop start will also knacker the starter motor ....

And my mechanic friend has said require your engine to be serviced more frueqently...

@Murdoch I'm led believe the start stop can be coded to only come on when you activate it by pressing the button or coded off altogether all you need is someone with VCDS and a couple of quid.

the worst thing about the stop/start system is that it hampers your getaway after you've nicked the motor.

I have stop start on Discovery, always turn it off, but as between that and Adblue I pay a couple of hundred quid less for road tax than on Discovery 3 I'm happy.
