Hi all,

Iv got a job to do installing a couple down lights, i userly use jbs to do the connections etc but iv just come across these lighting wago connectors.

What are these wago connectors like? And is it worth using these for downlight installation?

Regards

John

I have fitted quite a lot of downlights this last month, probably in the region of 100+ and have 7 more tomorrow... And everyone of them is done with a deep Wago junction box and 3x three way Wago lever connectors, nice and quick and easy. This is one install I finished off last week, it was an apartment with quite a few in. I like the Wwgo's as they are quick, neat and tidy and I feel I can rely on them.

I said to the customer, don't fill the void with fibreglass as you want loads of downlights as we will not get on otherwise.... Anyway, I put all my wires up there, he says no problem ive got to double board it and plaster next, so a week later, I come back to put all the holes in, and its rammed full to the brim with fibreglass, so I had to literally pull, i think 8 bin liners full of mineral wall out of the downlight holes and space it as much as possible where I could. There were 35 lights in this apartment, looked nice, with 20SMD GU10 bulbs and all fittings from Browse Energy Saving LED Bulbs & LED Lighting by Light Rabbit

Oh the other thing, he tucked all the wires up behind the fibreglass to stop them getting in the way when he board it, so finding the wires was verging on impossible!
