I found these today so ordered some as I suspect I will need to extend a few cables when doing some work soon:

They look neat, rated 32A and accept cable to 4mm. Also stranded cable, which some of the smaller Wago push-fit do not. While it is true I don't really like having to undo such a connector, it is supposed to be manageable. However, proof will be in the pudding.

TL;DR anyone used Wago 2773-2401 before?

I find this a little unhelpful that some push fit are designed to accept stranded and others are not.One standard push fit connector would be better.

Undoing some pushfit connectors that have stranded cables renders the connector unusable (according to Wago,s instructions). Not helpful. Why a push fit that has solid cables can be reused and a push fit using stranded can,t is not something I have got to the bottom of yet.In any case I choose to use the lever connector to avoid the issue.

There wasn't - it's new. Similar to the Ideal inline splice, but probably the best connector in the world...

I have a handful of ideal inline splices, but never had occasion to use them and no longer trust them after reading Westfield's experience with them. In fact, I'm not a fan of ideal connectors in general and have only ever use them on lighting to get rid of them.

I don't like the idea of 221 inline connectors as it seems odd to have a lever connector used on a permanent splice.

This new 2273 splice looks to be the bees knees.

I tend to use push fit on connections that will be permanent or in place for a very long time, whereas levers are great for connecting lights or equipment that will most likely be changed or disconnected at some point.

I should maybe have said I don't plan on undoing push-fit connectors, otherwise I would use leaver ones. But from time to time you have a WTF moment and realise you have pushed the wrong pair together....

For my expected use (extending wires for CU change) then just cutting and re-terminating with a slightly longer extension is quite viable.
