On the way to a Lighting display job we do for a major sports store....call in to my local Wilsons, and picked up 50 lever Wago`s...no worries....get to Dartford, and half way through the job ran out of the little sods. so off the local industrial estate....call in to Newey & Eye, CEF, Electrical Centre, All asked me "what are Wago`s never heard of them.....grrrrr. Called in to srewfix....there you go sir....its like being in Bongo Bongo land up there.

My company have just completed a development in woking . Built by Barratts been their a few times but couldn't tell you the name of the place, used to be office blocks but then knocked down and flats / houses/ shops, one of which is a Tesco's. Do you know it ??

Yup, by the railway line. The tesco's has killed off the coop opposite

I think we are all eagerly waiting for Wilson's to open some more branches further afield.
I had to use another wholesaler last week as I was in new cross and the nearest Wilsons was southall, a bit too far to go for a few drums of singles.
There are a multitude of places that sell Wago's in London, I am mainly NW and W9/10 and never had a problem. I deal direct with Wago for my normal stock items, their delivery is fast. If you need a few to tide you over on a job, and are in my area I would be happy to accommodate . send me a pm, that goes for any items that are normal for domestic installs. Send me a pm and I will pm my tel no. so if you are stuck somewhere in my vicinity you have somewhere to call. I cannot promise that I will drop tools and come rushing to your aid, but if possible I will.

'New central' is the fancy name it's got, but it also goes by the name of 'barrat towers'

It's opposite the one which looks like a boat.

i had the same with cef today with Schneider breaks.

i asked them over the phone for acti9 isobar mcb's.
ich50

schneider really like confusing people with there product names.

at first they gave me din rail mcb's.

when i did some research on google there called.

acti9 reflex intergrated control mcb's.

classic CEF and Eddies mate they both can't get it right with Schneider breakers, started referring to them as "that square d rubbish they do" and "the Merlin style ones" and they don't seem to get it wrong as much now

CEF sell them in Glos as well, as do most wholesalers down here, it must be a Northern thing

Southern thing fella, every wholesaler up here sells wagos and if you get anymore north than me your voting for or against independence in a week or so's time

I always think of any where inside the M25 as alien

Anything south of wakefields alien and the world ends just north of Watford gap

cause they say merlin on the side lol

And of I never get called out to that damned boat just to top up the header tank of one of those gledhill heap-of-leaky-junk 2000 hot water systems it'll be too soon!

I don't know why but they seem to have been terribly popular with developers all over this area!

Specs thanks for the kind gesture.....but the point is they are sold everywhere without a problem....But not in Dartford, and to have major wholesellers like CEF and Neweys to ask "what are Wago`s...is just unbelievable .....

Thats more down to the de-skilling of counter staff and poor, if any product knowledge!

line and hellerman make them as well i think.

The ones sold by lineproducts are made by a company called ideal and are to my mind the best of the bunch. They are rated at 32A as opposed to hellerman and wago at 24A for their similar sized connectors, and usually cheaper.
However, ideal are the ones selling the wirenut/screwit connectors...... can't be good at everything
