If they are on what is termed pmr 446 then yes,the professional ones such as the mitex and motorola wont as they run on either vhf or uhf.
 
Ok, if I got the motorola t80 and then say someone else bought another pair would we be able to speak to each other? Sorry if it's basic stuff but I have no idea on this

the motorola t80 is a pmr446

So would be compatable with the binatone ones I posted and most others.

Ive done a little digging and you want either uhf or pmr446

the motorola t80 extreme is a consumer radio.

Might not be the best for your needs. Have a look at mietex or whatever phil mentioned or other brands as well
