What this man says I have about 40-odd Motorola UHF Radios with a 5W transmit power, and some chunkier desk sets with 25W transmit. I also rent them out if anyone in the SW needs some for bigger jobs.If you want good range and quality, get an ofcom Licence for General uk site, ÂŁ65 for 5 years. PMR 446 radios have a power output of 50mW Licence radios have an output of 5W (5000mW) so its clear to see the range advantage on sites. Good models are Motorola CP040, GP340, GP344...We use 6 CP040`s very happy with them
