sirkits origional post is correct it acounts for inrush current such as a motor starting ect or high frequency stuff. They will take the much larger inrush current for a longer period but not indeffinatly.
But a B6 breaker will still trip at 30 amps in 0.1 of a second, which is quite smaller than the 30 minutes that he suggested it would hold for. And the same goes for a C6 tripping instantaneously at 60 amps and a D6 tripping instantaneously at 120 amps. I'm sure when we all started we wondered why a loop test was tripping our type 1 5 amp MCB didn't we? Even B6's go sometimes too....
