Hi everybody. I know Screwdrivers have been talked to death now, But I've decided I'd like the Wera. The only decision to make now is whether to go for either :

http://www-us.wera.de/catalog_us.html?L=1&file=/en-US/screwdrivers_kraftform_plus__series_100_vde.html

Or

http://www-us.wera.de/catalog_us.html?L=1&file=/en-US/screwdrivers_kraftform_kompakt_vde.html

What pros and cons can you see between them? Which would you choose? I've been using CK for a few years but the terminal has chipped twice ( I've filed it straight on both occasions ) but now my big pozi has finally bit the dust...

Links all sorted thanks.

Plus Have you triied holding using them yet? I liked the "look" of one make cant mind what one I got a set and after a week threw them down the bottom of the hut as they were a pain for me to use

I have these without the stupid light up one and a few larger flats.
I like the feel of them and they last reasonably well.
If I had the other set you looked at, I know I would loose the individual ends.

Tried Irazolas and did not like the feel of them.

me and lenny have the kraftform kompakt in the roll, i used mine last week and they are great, nice and easy on the hands and the belt loop is a bonus as i get sick of looking round for mine when i use the normal ones. so far so happy :)

I hate the interchangeable kit. If you loose the handle you loose the whole set. Most of my screwdrivers are now above suspended ceilings or under floor boards. BTW Our local B&Q are selling off all their VDE tools at ÂŁ2.00 per item this week.

my choice is, for the electrical side, terminals, dis boards, etc.Klauke 1000v. For fixing things on walls etc. Snap-on every time.

yeh got mine at the electric ctr for 25 quid, fits nicely into the glove box so i always have a set with me now. when i was at the elex in harrogate the guys on the stall were not impressed on how much i paid for it :D said it was being sold too cheap. think there price was 45 ish on the stall. mind still worth that.

Hi there

Just to pick up on this point - unlike everyone that copied our (Wera) interchangeable set, we DO sell the handles individually! If you give us a ring on 01246 277756 our Customer Services team will provide you with a couple of local stockists. If they've got none in stock just call us back and we'll sort it direct for you.

It's also worth knowing that we also sell the blades individually - so if, for example, one of your tips wears out because you use it daily, you can easily replace it. We also sell different ones to those in the sets, including Torx and hex profiles, so you can add those also. (We leave a couple of loops free in the 18pc and 16pc Professional versions, for you to customise with additional blades)

Hope that helps!

PS -for a full listing of the blades, we can send out a brochure, or see www.wera-tools.co.uk
