Builder is converting cloakroom to wet room with the addition of pumped shower. In considering the zones is it the distance from the shower rail or the water outlet? Have selected appropriate LED lights which are zone 1 compliant. Circuits protected by 30ma RCD but just don't like the idea of mains voltage fan with a small room with water jets.

Without trying to sound sarcastic.you are doing the installation and you decide what you believe is suitable in your opinion and that it also conforms to the regs ( an appropriately rated fan will conform)

Difficult one, had similar problem shower head including flex?, water outlet ? Tech support at Elecsa suggested water outlet ie. where water outlet comes out of the wall.

Well if the fan you select is sufficiently I.P rated for the zone you install it in and also RCD protected what is the problem with it being 230v?

Therein lies the problem. I see no merit in further circular debate, so will bow out of this discussion.

Check with your DNO as they will have a few questions. in theory no technical obstacles but we are not quite there yet with a clear agreed process.
