What a disgrace!!

Hi,
Ive just been generally looking on the internet seeing if anything is out there (not looking for a job) but I came across this!
Its an absolute disgrace how someone is advertising that rate for an electrician! I wouldnt even labour for that hourly rate! Its absolutely taking the **** People havent trained for 5 year for crap like that. I dread to think the future of the industry.

basicly i can't imagine anyone that desperate and ime on the dole looking for work to do nvq3 and i would work for nothing!I could not take a job like this out of principle and respect.
if people start taking monney like this then they will all get on the band wagon.
if anything we should all be increasing prices to pay for all the ---- taking we have to go through all the time by the industry.

Im up for phoning them tomorrow n finding out a little more about it
my ex apprentice is currently packing YumYums at gregs factory n hes getting £7 ph he cant get a job in the trade n certainly wouldnt look at less than a £10ph that mob must wear masks

Well this is what I sent them:

"You're offering £7 - £8 per HOUR for a qualified electrician??

Have you ANY idea how much time & money we have invested in our training & qualifiacations etc??

No .... it's obvious that you havent - that's why you think it's acceptable to offer the same rate as you would offer a cleaner!!

You should all be wearing masks as you are obviously a bunch of cowboys or robbers!!"

Let's see if they bother to reply!! ;)

I pay my apprentice that , no wonder people moan at our fee's when people expect to pay that ,or is that the agencys fee are they charging £15.00 - £20.00 per hour ,and working in schools and care homes , not some where you can send just any one , its a short contract it should be treble that how annoying

Due to the current environment Government will be pushing for lower rates and the agencies are only too willing to oblige so here is a suggestion if all that is left to you is a job like that or no Job seekers then get a job at Tesco for £6-£7 an hour at least you are not getting taken advantage of

I tried contacting them from the number avaliable through the ad for the job. The guy I talked to had no knowledge of the job or the agency. He suggested I contacted CV library directly about the position.

I was just going to talk about the job and the wages....pmsl

£7 - £8 per hour?
