Does anyone use Or has anyone used one of these?

My dad has about 3 or 4 of these in his tool box , I personally have never used one but were they a popular thing back in the day ?

Got one of these today , not liking it yet

Dunno why they put all those extras on the handles of these gadgets , crimping and cutting

Like you, my first 20 minutes fiddling with these were frustrating. Then I got the knack and for T&E up to 2.5 and singles they work well enough to hold a place in my main grab bag. Might be worth fiddling a little longer before rejecting.

Me. Lasted donkeys years until a shower of rain got in to my tool box.

I have one and its only use is for cutting brass screws using the threaded hold slicing bit!

Useless for crimping, barely tolerable as wire stripper.

Customer handed me one of these electric handsaw things as I'd forgotten my handsaw

Dunno the name but I was impressed for light work anyway

Needed a guide to get started accurately

Reciprocating saw?

Builders love them as they're perfect for rough work. Definitely serve a purpose, but I never carry mine to work as it takes up too much valuable toolbox space.

Blade looks like a handsaw blade except it's electric

Not the same as the reciprocating saws I just googled

Worth mentioning that your employer is responsible for issuing PPE. I'm not directly employed so buy my own and that's nice as I'm quite fussy...
