64 in December with 6th being the 1st day.78 in January up to now''.No double figures yet but 1 9 and a few 8`s.Just wondering if being up on a hill will effect much as with the sun being lower anyway.

Been up an hill will make no relative difference, its your actual altitude & elevation to the sun that could matter ..... my generation has been rubbish now for the last two days due to think clouds....... come back clear skies !

I took some periodic readings from mine today:

Two strings of cheap-ish Chinese panels; 8x250W + 7x250W = 3.75kW, both strings facing SouthEast, 40-degree angle, Aurora PVI-3600 inverter. Edit: located in East Anglia.

Inverter began to detect incoming power around 7.30am (hazy sunrise)

Inverter fully powered-up around 8.00am (hazy sunshine)

First kW produced by about 10am (hazy sunshine)

Second kW produced by about 10.45am (sunny)

Third kW produced by about 11.30am (hazy sunshine)

Fourth kW produced by about 1.30pm (white cloud)

Fifth kW produced by the end of the day 4.30pm (white cloud)

Inverter preparing to shut down around 4.30pm

.

Hope that helps

Yestderday, with reasonable sunshine I had harvested about 1kW by now.
But today, with dark clouds and some rain, I have harvested almost nothing: about 0.1kW.

edit:
Remained cloudy and on-off light rain all day. Managed just under 1kW in total today, before darkness came.
.

Today we had thick, dark cloud cover and light rain until around 11am, with very little electricity produced.
The sun came out around 11am and production got going at a decent pace.

Due to the SE-facing and the low sun we were unable to get much benefit from the afternoon sun, which was moving to the other side of the house roof. Despite it remaining sunny for much of the afternoon, didn't generate much at all during the afternoon due to not having direct sunlight on the panels.
Total generation today: about 2kW, almost all of it was produced between about 11am and 1pm (the period of time when the panels had some clear and direct sun).

We too had a better day's generation today after yesterday:cry_smile:. Produced 4.18kwh and this was in two teaks - first at around 10am then just again before 11am for just over an hour then it tailed off into watts till around 3.30pm

Lets hope for better weather or more so clear skies IMO

My Fronius IG30 Plus with10 Sanyo HIT 250W panels picked 3499W!! How about that!

How can they run at +40% above their rated output? Perhaps 10% or so but surely not 40%. If they really are running at +40% then that means they were operating at an efficiency of nearly 31%. All the best.

31% efficiency..............Anyway do you think is pos or is a problem

I'd be concerned if your output stayed that high for any length of time.
Highest our 2.88kw system has reached is 2895 watts so far.

Yee..probably is stronger. But overperformance by 1kw is it normal?

I've not heard of that kind of outperformance, but I don't know many Aussies. :wink5:

My panels are:
In England, where the sun is weaker.
Chinese-made low-mid-range, so very likely to be noticeably inferior to Sanyo (I reckon about 10% less than similar Sanyo systems in my area).
55 degrees off the optimum facing.
A couple of months away from the longest days/strongest sun.

....and despite all those disadvantages, my panels can reach 270W output even though they are nominally 250W.

Sorry, to clarify......

270W per panel - 1.9kW from a string of 7x 250W and 2.1kW from a string of 8x 250W.
