Fitting smaller than an architrave boxyou could fit a flush architrave box vertical to house the connections, then drill and plug fixings each side to mount the fitting.
No just noticed that there is no earth connection and no paperwork but it doesn't look double insolated to meEarth tag on the base or not needed?

All well an good, but if it's not got a CE mark it's not legal for them to sell it here, or for you to install it for a paying customer.

It does include electrical goodsI'm not sure if a light fitting has to be CE marked, obviously its better if it is as it shows compliance but is it compulsory for a light?
