.. and if you're not happy with High Carbon Steel (ÂŁ cheap) or High Speed Steel blades (ÂŁ not so cheap) try Tungsten Carbide blades (ÂŁ getting pricey)..... after that you're getting into diamond tipped blades (ÂŁ you don't want to know!!)teritory .....

Did I hear the word Diamond? :dita:

Your screen name maybe should be Sweeney Todd. ;)

ill think about it while i sharpen this up

Morse master cobalt (USA)or bahco (Sweden) are the 2makes on my toolbox bahco is twice the quality of the master cobalt. Recently the local trade counter is selling some cheap make called greenlee that seems to be half a mill smaller than the stated size which is great craic trying to get a 20mm bush into a 19.5mm hole

The cheapest, none of them last long these days in any case, manufacturing is no longer quality as previous years, vertually all drills are made in china lol

I thought that the other week... it's all crap... buy it cheap, so I stocked up on silverline HSS drill bits. I snapped 2 6mm bits trying to get them to make a mark on a metal clad box.... blunt as a proverbial and weak as creamflow !!
The 4mm ones just about struggled into a pine curtain pole.... utterly useless for purpose.

go on amazon and buy some dewalt extreme 2 bits.

with a name like that they sound like crap

but there good, they dont slip as much as a normal 6.5mm either

Another vote for Q max punches!
I spent about ÂŁ60 on a set from 16mm to 50mm and only use holesaws for thicker steel with a slow speed drill (rarely have to do this though) or plastic

I hate it when you are drilling and they wander and leave a sharp ring of bare metal behind

Use the punches with a ratchet and hex socket to speed up things a little
oh and oil or wd40, clean holes every time. ...
Most people see them and say it looks slow but they're always impressed with the finished results! and how much less swarf is created to be left in the enclosure.

Now THAT is the way to do it! :)
