Providing it's installed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions, no code. I did question such a situation myself recently when I was asked to remove a shower unit and move it to an en-suite where the shower had packed up. The ensuite had it mounted at about the same height.

Checked the manufacturers instructions and according to them it was OK.

Quite clearly no code if the case is undamaged and RCD protection is in place. They are all made to minimum IPX4 and are designed to get wet and route the water down and off the unit away from any internal spaces.

Wouldn't it be higher potential to get splash with that height? When it's higher you dont get that much

Depending on how tall the person using it is the shower could get splashed at any height.

Check the instructions for this one. All the tritons I've ever meddled with (admittedly not that many) have said no sealing around/tiling up to the unit. Quite specific, big bold letters in the instructions.

I'm the same using light switches. Just a flimsy bit of plastic between me and all those volts. Terrifying.

Hi - it looks like the Triton T80 X series which are all IPX4, so rated for water splashes from all directions. It should be ok unless you've found a problem on inspection and testing.

The shower we had in our old flat was lower than usual, as the manufacturers instructions said that both hot/cold feeds had to be lower than than our cold water tank in the airing cupboard for proper water flow and to comply with their guarantee.
