So heres an inevitabe question - what do we do certificate-wise? Is a BS7671 ok? I thought they were only for domestic. Or is the only paperwork the invoice on commercial??

Certs are needed regardless of Domestic/Commercial/Industrial. Part P stuff applies to Domestic in England and Wales. Certs from BS7671 are fine, just change from the Domestic versions to the others.

There is no "Domestic version" of any certificate/report in BS7671.
Not sure where easycert gets the forms from then, I have Domestic Installation Cerificate, Domestic PIR Certs and then also have EIC and PIR for commercial/industrial.

My BRB and other books are already packed for my move home, so not able to check them out. I know one of them has model forms in them, and those for Domestic are different to the rest.

The certs in BS 7671 are model forms. They represent the basic form of certificate and they are to be used in any situation. There are two types of EIC in BS 7671. One is a single signature and the other is a multi signature certificate. The multi signature is to be used where more than one person is responsible for the design, construction and Inspection & testing of the electrical installation. The single signature EIC is used where one person is responsible for the design, construction and testing & inspection, the latter being the one most likely to be used in a domestic situation. Easy cert and others certificates are based on these model forms and will most likely have more information recorded on them. The domestic EIC have come about via the NIC and Elecsa, where the schedule of inspections and test results are on the same page and only require one signature.
