I don't see anything wrong with a cheap non feed in solar system as long as its safe. If everyone's home had something similar the UK could probable do something worthwhile about the of peak generation problems the national grid has.

Unfortunately peak solar generation does not equate to peak domestic use. Plus this kit is WRONG in so many ways I dont know where to start. They have quoted Grid Tied!!!!!! where does it mention G83 approval.................IT IS ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS
 
I was talking about the off peak 9-5 over power generation of the national grid that's just waisted.

If someone come up with a CHEAP and SAFE low power system that's available to customers without huge setup costs then I don't see the problem at all. I'm not saying this system is safe(although we don't know it could well be) but something along this line certainly has merits to open up solar systems to more people with lower budgets.

Its not even cheap, never mind safe or compliant with the regs.
 
You could do the same system AND get the FIT for less than he is charging, plus it would be safe AND compliant with the regs.
