Sure you have all heard or seen on news somebody has decided to send up a drone over the airport causing chaos.
Makes you wonder who it is? dont think its some loner in his or her bedroom as it is apparently commercial grade. Did wonder if it is some protest group? but no claim to fame by them just yet. Might even be some state sponsored outfit causing mischief.
Either way if they get caught they are getting a few years.
Apparently the police say it is too unsafe to shoot it down due to 'stray' bullets! suggest they get a better marksmen then and use different ammo. Now got the signals folk trying to triangulate the signal to control it.
I think there is a lot lot more that has not been said on the news about this strange case.

They deserve everything they get, it is ruining people's holidays and jobs.
Get em caught, give them a huge fine after calculating the cost of all the disruption and then give them a nice long stint in prison.

Or anything else like hanging by the testicles, firing them off in a cannon and taking pot shots at them flying through the air. Neither putting them in prison.
Over 110k passengers missed their flights costing the airlines, insurance companies a few million plus the loss of holiday days encountered by individuals.
My solution is to tie them to a financial commitment such a mortagage/ load for the rest of their lives. Nowhere to run because their passports will be held in perpetuity of repayment.
It should not cost the tax payer more to punish or confine.

That won't lead them to whoever is/was controlling it.

Apparently these are the ones detained;
Yahoo is now part of Oath - https://uk.news.yahoo.com/gatwick-drone-identities-arrested-couple-154935292.html

I see that the media who originally named the couple are blaming the police for revealing their identity, and also now apparently, if it were not for the press revealing their identity, the police would not have been so quick to discover these particular suspects had a 'cast-iron, watertight alibi'. I also see that the couple have been mentally scarred by the whole balls up, and will be seeking compensation (can't say I blame them). Even the father-in-law thinks it might have a knock on effect for his double glazing business.

Cha-ching, cha-ching :D

Told you that Surrey Sussex SMT would’ve more worried about their next press release and they still f**k it up. Same with poor old Cliff Richard. Police have been running scared of the media for some time. My policy was always to tell the media to s*d off until there was something concrete to talk about.

Arrh see another contented ex-employee.

well, i can honestly say it wasn't me. although us scousers have the technology to fly a drone over an airport. , we can't see an opportunity to nick anything from the exercise. i have my people working onit though, and if a plan comes together, you lot will be the first to miss your flights.
