Hi Guys
New to this forum
I want to change careers and become an electrician. Currently a Motorcycle mechanic specialising on electrics.
Want to do 2365 Level 2 to start with but need it to be distance training.
What do you guys think of Thompson training Ltd?
Their course is £1600 which I found was good compared to other training providers I found online.
I also found Able Skills but their price is £2500.
Do you guys know of any other distance training providers which are good?
I live in South London if that helps.
Thanks in advance

Welcome, never heard of the company's, IMO you should try and enrol at your local tech college. The price could even be cheaper, maybe 1 day a week if you can spare the time or night classes.

Tha ks got your reply
Local college is around £1200 for evening but they start at 6 twice a week and I finish work at 6.
Knowing my employer he won't let me finish early twice a week even if I sacrifice some pay.
Weekend is same price but it will take 18 months to complete.

Hi jay
Why won't you recommend them?
Is it communication with them?
How good or bad are they at actually providing material and ease of booking exams with them?

Can't you start an hour earlier to finish an hour earlier - say you are studying origami or something. Going to be easier doing that than the other ideas.

18 months is good.gives you time to absorb the teaching, look things up in your spare time, and prepare any queries for the next session.

did my level 2 with them which was ok but dont like the dropbox etc, did level 3 at college

Hi Terry, I am looking to apply for their 2365 Level 2 (Thompson Training Ltd), and perhaps will go to West Suffolk College for Level 3 if I can finish it in time for September 2024.

If you could spare a few thoughts on their training program and how well their training worked with the college's Level 3 course please.

Much appreciated.

Andrew
