What does OP mean?

OP is code for Operation Prattle, which is an internet wide ongoing operation to prattle on about pretty much anything that comes to mind in the hope that eventually we'll prove the theory about monkeys and typewriters ending up writing the complete works of shakespeare by pure chance.

But more importantly someone might randomly happen to post up the cure to cancer and aids in the same post, so it's important that we keep prattling on as randomly as we can, and people post up 'To the OP' reminders when it looks as if too much sense might be being spoken on any thread.

'To the OP' being the shortened form of 'return to the OP'.

Hope this clears things up. Now can we please get back to the OP?
