What Equipment do I use to monitor and record refrigeration compressor on/off starts?

Hi can someone please endorse or recommend a data logger to monitor and record refrigeration compressor on/off starts and a data logger to measure and record KWH. Thanks

I'll second that-the SPC Pro is so simple to use and cheap to hire if you don't do much of this type of stuff.
Check the software though, the last time we used one, it wouldn't run Windows 7 or 8.

If you just need to monitor the stops and starts and maybe the running current then buy an owl monitor They're simple to use, cheap to buy and handy to have in the workshop.
