Think your seeing things mate and getting paranoid .

I'll hold my hands up, I reported it due to the nature of the thread. It didn't paint a very good picture of electricians trying to get out of "a test". It was in the open forum and any member of the public could see it, made us lot look like stoners and I didn't like the way it was tarnishing the forum. Time and place for everything but not everything can be posted up like that. Btw I'm not anti drug campaigner, just don't think it should be talked about on a public forum.

It’s something that is becoming more prevalent within industry, it can’t be ignored because it upsets the sensibilities of a minority. Drug testing will force it’s way in to all aspects of life.

Agree with what you say Tony but advice was being given on how to bypass the test! That's not going to help the industry is it?

Isn't that one of those drugs (being an opioid analgesic) that can show up as heroin?

Same here, don't go onto the the slow release as they are rubbish, after I run out of these I shall stick with the normal 4 hr jobbies.

Im just wondering exactly the same thing as i left a lengthy partially negative response and was wondering how the OP would respond????? now i just feel empty and worthless ...my life hasn't any meaning any more will i ever find out spliff boys response????

dont know about the thread BUT I do know random testing is becoming more and more prevelant on sites and company policies company i work for say they can carry it out ( altho I havent heard of any one yet) last company had a couple of clients who did randon testing of their own employees and had a couple sacked due to results they had option to test us but didnt Only "random " security check to keep the gaurds numbers up when the gaffer was around
As for being tested I wouldnt mind and if I had a prescribed drug that said " do not opperate machinery " ect or something similar that could be justified and proved that it was prescribed then I wouldnt worry about tests as the tests are looking for prolific drug abuse not prescribed drug use Altho if it advises NOT to operate machinery ect YOU could be in trouble so best seek advice from occupational health dept of employer if you are prescribed any

A woodbutcher on a site I was on once would regularly smoke weed on the job, the same guy would not drink and work though (a strange contradiction I thought) but he claimed that the dope helped him to concentrate. I had to stifle a laugh when his mate told me he had taken off a finger with his chop saw.
