So despite us all giving advice to other people about not having a go at electrics I always like to have a go at any other trade at every opportunity (as long as it is legal and safe!) I have tried car spraying and tonight I had a go at car window tinting and failed miserably (I have previously done flat windows but discovered I am rubbish at curved rear windows) so what have you had a go at and failed!:-)

Been there, I tried to render the underside of a lintel and it took me hours and kept falling off, my mate the plaster came around and did the whole thing in three minutes, another failure!:-)

Opening plastic bags, bin liners and just about anything that needs delicate fingers

My wife and sons know exactly my talents, I hand them the offending item, they open them, then hand them back as if it was the natural thing to do,thick fumbling thumb and fingers coupled with no patience decided my fate long ago
When I'm left to my own efforts,I tend to feel sorry for the mutilated bags who had the misfortune to be owned by me

giving up beer. longest i ever lasted was............

oh......... and memory loss.

now, where did i stash those bottles?

keeping the inside of the van tidy after a day's graft. everything just gets thrown in then nearest real ale pub for a pint. yesterday was 6.00pm into George & Dragon at Holmes Chapel for a pint of Weston's Old Rosie. would have been 2 but i smoked my last smoke with pint #1, so Sainsbury's local for smokes and a £1.40 pizza.

Trying to be nice to meter Muppet's who bust the catch on me meter box clumsy, ham fisted jobs worth

Skimming plaster. Wow, I'm terrible at that. Proper respect to those who have mastered this dark art.
I'm not great at gardening too, although Mrs Andy has a few green fingers.
When I did my house up I got the lads off the site I was working on at the time, to skim the whole house, 3 of them came on a Saturday and I was labouring for them....never stopped! I couldn't mix it quick enough by the time they'd applied it!

Fittting outside lights that I can only assume only a miniature octopus could install based in the awful design.

Working out if Mini Cab Drivers are ripping you off when you have had a few too many sherberts

absolutely. SWMBO was away for the week with family ( Teneriffe, jammy mare ). muggins here had to dog sit.

menu for the week was:

pack of 6 pork chops from aldi ( £3 odd )..... 3 days food with chips, egg, mushrooms

sirloin steak ( 8 oz., aldi for £4 ). with similar to above trimmings , another day fed.

last night, meat feast pizza, ( sainsbury's local £1.40 ).

split over the week... 10 bottles Theakston's Old Peculier and a litre of Jameson's .

he who who said man cannot live by bread alone was right.

just proves we only need womenfolk to clean up after us. and the best chefs are all men.

all five dogs had their usual, combined with a few treats of cheese and cooked ham slices. little buggers are particular, won't eat chips with salt and vinegar on. :D

Understanding women!

I was going to trade mine in for one with a brain but she beat me to it and is having an affair with the married vicar (I kid you not) so I guess my second failure would be at having a successful marriage. (mind, I'm happy as Larry now :) )
