Boarded Dot and Dab, Floorboards down and working from underneath.

In the past I have used a labourer but last time found it cost me more than it was worth because in the time I took to explain what I wanted I could have half done it myself. This time I planned to employ qualified electricians to assist hopping I could just say get on with it, but of course they come more expensive.

As you say, socket drops/rises on Thermalite block. Obviously cliped to joists on transverse runs and through joists on lateral runs. CU recessed in Thermalite.

Christ me and me mate Paul must be quick. I reckon a day and a half first fix done and dusted, and I'm fiddy next month
Haha christ I must be well slow then, take me a day and a half to box out and drill joists never mind run in 10 ccts as well!

Only paying 160 a day and hopeing for cheaper for surrey, can't think any qualified sparks would do all that with no profit on labour only.
Best stock up on some bags of peanuts, your gonna need them.

If you got a sparks mate in and im sure there are loads on here willing to work, you would not need to show them how to pull a cable or fix a box, with grat you should be able to get it done in 2 days maybe less say ÂŁ200 for you ÂŁ100 for mate, even if you priced for 3 days that would work out at ÂŁ900 instead of ÂŁ2k,or maybe price between ÂŁ1200-1500 and leave the mate to do a bit more while you are elsewhere. If you get the job then maybe post on the jobs unite section, someone out there will be willing to earn a few quid.
