Yep I,m really funny with my dogs,It's a Shepherd not an alsatian, some people call the champagne, blonde shepherds, then of course you get the whit ones which for some reason are usually deaf, thisoften causes problems as they can like any dog snap if startled, which usually happens because they can't hear you approach.
Tell you what mate, this is really making me miss my dog handling days.lol
Funny but I hate hearing them called alsatians too. He was lily white when we first talked about getting him and I was a little bit concerned about the deafness thing but within 20 minutes of him getting home he had sit and stay sorted so I knew he was going to be ok.
I had no bloody clue how to train him so I'd had a few weeks research on the net and luckily discovered that Cesar Milan is an idiot control freak not a trainer. Then I found a pup class just round the corner from us and it was brilliant.

Yes that's the rescue, actually did you know that the term alsatian originated during the war? when the Germans were in France the people of Alsace were causing them lots of trouble, and they said that 5 of the people of Alsace were not worth one of their dogs, hence the derogatory name of alsatian, being applied to the German Shepherd.

Yeah I knew that. Funny how names stick isn't it. I think people forget the Shepherd bit about GSDs and why they were originally bred.

Another one of me mate

Trev he is a stunning dog mate, and I love the colour of his nose.

I'm sure I have mentioned the cat that adopted us.
Eats, sleeps, and scratches. ESS.
Well, were away from for about a week and we had a kindly neighbour feed them in our garden.
Within about 10 minutes of our return ESS was at the door wanting in.
It has taken to sleeping on the window ledge in my office.
Mrs B thought it needed something more comfortable and knocked up a pillow.
Seems to have worked......

And it isn't even our bl00dy cat!!

Got 2 cats, had 2 cats before that but they pegged it, had another cat before that and i had it put down when it was 21, and then the cat before that got run over, and that died as well. We have always lived near open countryside, so the cats were to keep the mice away, but they never really grasped the concept, and kept bringing mice, frogs and other assorted creatures into the house, much to the displeasure of the wife, me and the kids found it funny though.

We also had a rabbit, but it got eaten by a fox.

Cheers..............Howard

believe it or not, the smaller one is fully grown @ 2 years old, while the bigger one is a 6 month old puppy.
