I've asked several colleges and training providers now 'what is needed to complete the NVQ3' and nobody will actually give me an answer.

I keep getting 'portfolio showing comptence'.

So....anyone who has done it - what actual jobs are needed to be able to pass the NVQ3? Are there any in there that are rare and so you struggled to complete because the opportunity just never came up or is it just basic day to day stuff - sockets, lights, earthing, shower, boiler, exterior armoured stuff, spurs, etc?

and with photos, ensure that you personally are in the picture on a fair % to prove that it's you doing it and not some stock photo off tinternet.

I think one of things hard to find is galv conduit, making sets etc. Boiler wiring is another less common one. Showing certificates for WEEE regulations is sometimes difficult. Photos of safety barriers, depends on what work you are involved in. Complying with clients instructions and handover method is also slightly tricky. Are you self employed or work for someone?
