What software to use

After using the Nic Online software for a while I find it not so good with multiple boards.

I want to buy some software, the NICEIC sell a destop version however there are loads of other options like AmTech.

What from your experience is the best as I would like to create building schematics during and EICR?

Just a layout drawing of the electrical installation

AutoCAD and Cymap M&E does everything I need. Not the cheapest but very professional. If you only need to do small stuff suggest getting Cable-Mate from Cable-Mate - http://jarsoftelectrical.co.uk/ which is very good value, fantastic calculation tool and Visio or use some free cad software. Good luck.

Auto cad is good and fairly easy to use,I use this for floor plans when completing lux surveys
