What to charge

I work out how long the job should take and charge £25.00 ph plus parts !!! If only half a days work £80-£100 and a full day £120-£220 depends on client, customers will try and knock price back every time !!! doing cheap jobs does you no favours as if it goes wrong in 12 months time they will still call you back mate and want it done for nothing when insurences ect are due you will regret working for peanuts i may be hard but i spent loads of money getting qualified not just do do other people favours with cheap jobs

hi

I think your price is fair, the company i work for charge £25 and customer is told this before job is started. The area i work in the customers are quite happy to pay joiners and plumbers £50 an hour but seem to think electrical work is worth less for what reason i have never worked out. So stick to your guns it is your bread and butter and you have other overheads like insurance, fuel and van upkeep it all adds up.

Always talk money first, have been stung like this before... and it was surprisingly (not any more) for one of the more 'well off' customers I have dealt with. And it is was only over a tenner !!! Wasnt so much the money in this case, just the principal.

If it's hourly rate : £22.50-£25/hr (mon to fri 08:30-17:30)
Price: Somewhere around £50-£60/point is a good guide line for quick pricing.
Deposit: I always get a deposit if job is more than around a few hundred quid (labour +materials)

Cheers Sy :)
