Hi people, can somebody give me some heads up please,

I have been asked to do a job cash in hand and was wondering what to charge???? As normaly I just go and do the work through my company and dont really take much notice of the cost lol,

The job is installing 3 bouble IP rated sockets in a garden near a pump house for a pond,so if anyone can say roughly what i shoud charge that would be brilliant.

Thank you

Is this including cabling, sockets etc.

Does it include certification and notification or are we looking the other way regarding that?

Assuming notification is applicable of course...

Its looking the other way on this one just a job on quite but obviously will test it correctly, and the cable supplied and he digging garden out for the cable I just got to supply 3 double sockets and install them,

It does sound all wrong dont it bouble sockets for a pond!!! lol, but they are for the pump house for the pond lol, Its a great big pond at that lol

30 quid wasn't a serious figure by the way.

How much to charge? How much do you want.

Thats the only way I see you can price it as its going right into your back pocket.

mate the HMRC only catch you out if you blabber and make it obvious!! they dont have any right under data protection to see what certs are issued as they have customer info on them...!!

plus the HMRC are over worked and underfunded!! NO CHANCE!! if a guy who runs to work and claims 60k in benifits cant be found out in a reasonable time im sure a few quid wont go amis!! any way any thing under 2.5k is normally not chased!! thats info from a good accountant by the way!!
