Just to add a comment to the "cable Tongue" suggestion.

They are brilliant! Had one before it got nicked! Nice bit of kit to have in the back of the van as and when needed, some times SuperRods can be a pain.

ive heard there no better than trunking lid?

what are they like for fishing in walls etc?

laser level and tripod?
Torque screwdriver???
Cable trencher (one I want to buy but am too sensible to spend that much)

Edit: should also have said good work on completing the biggest job so far and getting paid!
If you do ever get around to buying a trencher , I would suggest that you go for a tracked version .
The one we use is a slightly larger Bobcat version of the RTX100 , and to be honest it is just not up to the job if you need any decent depth and as for keeping it in a straight line , you have no chance .
The only draw back is to having a tracked one is that I have been on the lookout for one at a good price for about 2 years now with no luck yet .

Treated yourself then, good move.

Another little bargain if you have any money left is this

PARKSIDE CORDLESS MULTI-PURPOSE TOOL PAMFW 10.8 A1 | eBay

Great little bit of kit for the money, I got one last year and it has come in very handy at times. Battery last for a descent length of time and the replacement blades are a good price too. (bosh also fits btw). I've also got a Bosh corded multitool but I always seems to use the Parkside one. Perfect socket cut outs every time, clean edge with a snug fit. Keeps the plasterers happy lol.
ÂŁ20 on amazon btw and batteries are ÂŁ15, can't go wrong im going to have to get one to try

Trunking lid is a good description, but it is 5-7m long. Rods get used 90% of the time but the cable tongue comes in handy at times. Keep one in the van just in case kind of things, worth a tenner.

Dry line socket cut outs are so much easier than a pad saw, better results as well if it has been skimmed. Mine has had a load of abuse but keeps on going like it was brand new!

Hi Paul, what a shame someone stole your Cable Tongue, it's only a tenner!

send us your address to [email protected] and we will send you a brand new one free of charge. Just to say thanks for the positive feedback on here.

Thank you, I'll take you up on your generous offer. The one I was using came from Australia from a friend years ago (think they had them first?)

Very nice for a company to hand out freebies, thank you again

I also lost my AMAZING cable tongue and my life is not the same anymore:bigcry:
