Cutting access holes in sheet flooring, then popping back the cutouts supported by a dwang when finished!

Is "dwang" a technical term? I cannot fid it in the it of definitions!

Ah, the dwang. I first learned that term from an old joiner who described joists as 'jeesties'.

In construction, a nogging or nogging piece (England, Australia), dwang (Scotland, Central and lower North Island, New Zealand and South Island, New Zealand,) blocking (North America), or noggin (Greater Auckland region North Island, New Zealand),.

What would you use a 114mm holesaw for?

I would probably use it to make a hole for a boiler flue or soil pipe. (it will give a bit of "wiggle room" to stuff some sealant around it)
