Hello fellow sparks .... Recently I've been using my local Screwfix for switches and sockets and as of late I've been noticing a serious lack of quality .. I'd rather pay a better price and have a quality product and finish on the jobs .. does anyone have a recommendation for brand and supplier .. don't mind ordering online or in store .. many thanks ...

scfrewfix sell MK. LAP and BG. I've never had any problems with BG. not used more than a few LAP, so unable to judge them. as middy said. Click are excellent.

I'm guessing you're using LAP then, the screwfix brand, screwfix themselves I find are a good place to buy from. LAP is ok for certain things (I find their floodlights reliable) but generally I think the quality is lower. I agree with Midwest, I find MK acceptable and I think they have the nicest look and feel to them, click are also good. I mainly use Crabtree and 95% of the time I am happy with their sockets/switches.

Click are good. Mk are good and look good. Hager are good but I don't like the look of them. There is more bad than good now though so many are poorly made

Click, used them for years, rewire my own house and used them, crabtree make the safest sockets as there are no live parts located behind the switches, kind of a remote switch I guess. MK in my opinion have let them selfs go over the pass few years, defo since Honeywell well have taken over. The schools that I work in now no longer spec MK because of the lower quality, since the logic plus has been used on the grid switches,
