I have got to get around to doing another scrap run soon as it did not get done before Christmas because of the price drop !
The trouble is finding the best price , I find if you phone around they can vary by as much as ÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁs per ton for bright within a 10 - 20 mile radius ?
And how one yard will give ÂŁÂŁÂŁs per ton more for house hold but ÂŁÂŁÂŁs per ton less for swa and bright compared to the one literally next door to it .
What are others finding the price's like for bright and house hold around the county ?

do i need a waste carriers license to drive my car 1 mile or less
for old coloured T/E on the drum as i have loads lol
or should i just get stripping it and park round corner lol and walk in like the scallys do before april the 1st

i have been meaning to take it as i last took some bright copper from some swa i had and stripped
for 15 kilo i got ÂŁ55

Phone around mate , it is well worth the trouble if you have any decent quantity .
And let the buggers know that you phoned first when you get there or you will get a different price to the one quoted , it has happened twice to me now !

The best price I ever seen around London:
EMR
They have a lot of branches in UK.

I get about ÂŁ1.60 per kilo for household cables and ÂŁ2.00-2.10 for singles, but is was few months ago.
Worth to check prices before go anywhere as they have phone numbers on their website.

wages didn't come in yet this week due to f*ck up with computers at nat west/rbs/ulster bank.So had to take my stash down to clearways....Price has gone up a little..last week was 3300 a tonne...today I got 3755 a tonne for burnt. In March they were giving 4250....I had no option to wait as skint..got 641.75 for 170kg...still well worth collecting.....it would be good if the forum could have a wee price checker app in the corner???
