Evening chaps...

Bit of a random one this but anyhow would like to see what you think.

Been emailed the spec for a small bathroom job coming up soon, part of which is installing an in-line loft fan.

Was driving past that way today so thought I'd just check out where it is before pop round for proper survey in a couple of weeks time.

Turns out to be a 3 storey town house, so am thinking hang on a minute that looks a bit too high to get up there to fix a fan grill, dont fancy that !!!

Dont think my ladder would do that high anyway.

Would you do it / thoughts please..... :wheelchair:

Hopefully there is an option for a wall fan (at low level) :uhoh2:

Can't suss the pic. Is there a gable end you can core through? assuming there is, then core from the inside. Drop a string out the hole to ground level. Using cement fix a 350mm pipe to the grille. Feed the string down the pipe and through th egrille. Put plenty of a high grab adhesive on the flat surface of the grille. Now pull it up from inside and when you can get hold of it pull the pipe through the hole. Alternatively you could use a little expanding foam to fix the pipe in place once it's up. Voila, grille in place and no ladder required. Now fix your flexi from the fan to the pipe.

Thanks chaps with all your ideas there....

Liking this one great idea... just have to make sure I use a round grill though otherwise could end up looking slightly P'd. And hopefully when come to pull pipe through it wont be too tight.

Cheers Sy
