That's always the danger!

I'd like to see a few cost comparisons, especially on retrofit set against a full Periodic every 5-years for whatever life expectancy the installation has left.

Nice bit of kit........................is it just a glorified BMS that now developed the software to read the circuit conditions.

We wont be testing at all at this rate going to live testing only ......then you are told NIC that is that you shouldnt do live tests good eh

But how do we know that it is giving correct readings? There will always be the need for manual operatives

Calibration, it seems the device will incorporate a standard MFT in the system, which will be calibrated. It's not so operatives as down time and scheduling access to an installation

But who will calibrate the calibration machines?

It's not so much the getting rid of operatives but getting rid of skilled operatives, and down time on an installation. You don't need much qualifications to send a meter off for calibration.

Looks like a very impressive system and I can see some bean counters going for it...... but these days, I dont think many commercial and certainly not domestic installations could justify the extra cost?! Industrial is a different matter tho, but at least they'll need us to install them
