Where can I get 16mm external SWA Glands from...

Hi, used 20s to terminate 1.5mm2 3 core SWA and the rubber seal is not tight enough on the back end of the gland, you can see the steel wire through it!! I've tried 20s by Tower and one by another manufacturer but both were gappy??

Stripping outer fine same as I always do but when you look back up the rubber seal it's fully compressed to the point where the nut is as far as it can go and you can look down it along the cable thus there is no seal and you can see the wire. You can get a screwdriver through the compressed seal and wiggle it about. Wholesalers have ordered some smaller glands. They said all non metal elements of the cables is getting thinner and most people don't bother and just hide it with the rubber boot, not my style. Really weird as I've used 20s loads of times on 1.5mm2 3core SWA before and never had this issue, cable diameter must be less. It was a drum of 100m from BATT cables..

Are you talking about an SWA gland or a compression gland?

Went to City's and got some CW 20/16 external glands made by SWA, fit a treat. Anyone else doing 3core 1.5mm2 SWA hopefully won't have to find out the hard way! Sorted.
