Hi guys (and girls), I've been asked to quote for wiring up 12 new builds. I haven't a clue what to charge or how to go about it.
If anybody has a copy of a quote that they have used recently then that would be really useful.
I'm also open to any advice and snippets of info that people are willing to share about what to charge and what sort of things I need to be aware of as I could seriously seen off doing this.

Alternatively, I suppose I could really do with a hand from an electrician in the Lincoln/Retford area who has experience wiring up new builds to meet with me to go through all the different items I would need to think about. Ta. Ade

Not yet, I should have more details in the next week or so. I don't know if they are all the same size or if they will be different.

Until you get the spec (number and quality of accessories) then you won't be able to price it very accurately. You'll also need to keep in mind your cashflow, as the 12 will not be ready to all second fix at the same time! So think about a payment schedule to help keep your head above water so to speak.

Panic over, it seems the project is going ahead but the specs haven't been written yet. I should get something towards the end of the year, so when I know, you'll know, you know? A

PS - Thanks for the help so far though, really appreciate it. No doubt I'll be back asking for help when the drawings arrive.

get the specs, then get a list of materials off to a few different wholesalers get a price for materials, whack a pecentage on top- and then suss out how many man hours each one will take and how much an hour you are charging and then whack on 30 %
sound good?
