It dosn't what?

Are you saying a 1way board off an Henley block will require 25mm tails even though its nearly impossible to fit them in?

The Tails are consumer property as they are after the Meter the end of the suppliers property so subject to BS7671 and its within the BGB that fitting a say 10mm tails can be acceptable in the correct set-up like i mentioned.

I would love to see someone trying to get 25mm tail or even 16mm into a 2 or 1 way db, without rationalization of them conductors lol.

I must apologise here Scots'... i realise now you are responding direct to OP post 1 and not replying to me ... it would help all and stop the confusion if you use th 'Reply with Quote' options if others have posted cheers ;)

As stated the assessor was very thorough but with regards the tails he didn't even blink! I did actually intend to upgrade to 25mm (just wanted to), but after I took the undercasing off the meter and saw that 2 of the screws had been snapped off (so were in effect like security/one way screws) I decided not to!

My view is if you are a DI then it would be wise to follow whatever your assessor requires of you, that would be from the OSG, unless you are unfortunate enough to get an over officious pedant in which case you can encourage him to go boil his head.

If you are fully competent then design using BS7671 and apply the basic rules such as 433.1.1, 433.3.1, 434.2.1 and 543.1.3
