Hi there, hoping someone can clear this up for me.:D

A company has had a PIR done, he has found circuits which require rcd protection etc.
Now, I have a friend within the co. who has shown me the quotes and to cut the story short I said I will beat them blahblahblah I have got the job.

The quotes are to upgrade the DB from an 8-way 3 phase to 12-way 3 phase with RCBO's and a few other minor things then test relevant circuits. This is one board out of three in the installation. Obviously this is not like for like.

I have no issues with why he has got round the situation this way or anything like that, im going to do the work on the quote only.

My question is which certs need to be carried out and issued after completion of work???
Is it another periodic but only for the DB + circuits that have been changed???

Also, how much would this cost, ballpark, its 9 circuits in total being put into the 12 way board inc. 9 RCBO's.

Going to put in my price and want to know how much to set aside.

Thanks for any input, much appreciated. Rik:D

You would provide an EIC for the work you have carried out detailing exactly what you have done and possibly linking back to the PIR, i.e include the report number in your extent description.

Does that have to be done by someone who is regstered to a scheme etc.
Or is that it, fill in an EIC and give it to the customer???
I have never got involved with the paperwork side of things being fairly new to the game, im competent enough for the task(i swear):D.

Sorry about that Lenny. What was I thinking??? Never mind.

Thanks again.

Im pretty sure its an office block, I cant see it being classed as a dwelling???
I havent actually been there yet, I have not long been e-mailed the periodic and quotes. I dont want to look stupid when I turn up so Im doing loads of homework on it!!!:D
Still need to ask, obviously alongside the EIC I will include a Schedule of Inspections and Schedule of TesT Results for said circuits??

Thanks again Lenny, your a wealth of knowledge!
Rik
