Which course VRQ or NVQ

I am after some help. I am looking to do a Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers. But I am very confused as to which award seems that most places offer the vrq part p full scope level 2 which can be done in 5 to 6 days.
I have so far only found one college near me which offers the nvq Level 2 Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers.

What are you aiming to achieve by doing these courses i.e what do you want to be???

Main aim is to finish the 2330 Was hoping that by doing one of the above courses and the 2382 and what I have done so far on the 2330 this would let me do domestic installs. I have also finished city & guilds 2377

There is no such thing as an NVQ2 in domestic electrical installers. If you are currently studying the 2330 L2, it would be a backwards step to do the VRQ EAL part p. Both quals are VRQs however the 2330 will teach you more. What you need to do it the part p exam (applicable building regulations) and add it to your 2330 L2, call yourself a domestic installer, join a competant persons scheme and do the 2382-10 also. That way you can progress onto the 2330 L3 and maybe the NVQ3 2356 one day and get a JIB card.

You would be wasting your time doing an EAL2 with part p if you are already studying the 2330.
