Which make of VDE screwdriver do you think is the best?

They don't do an insulated set complete only a non insulated set with a pz2 and terminal. Had to buy all mine separate, wouldn't go back to anything else and I've tried them all lol

rubbish facom do an insulated 5 piece set for around £25/£30

just a quick google (i bought the same set but didnt take pics)

they do other sets with different drivers in as well

ouch, that sounds expensive. i paid £2.80 for a 4mm when i lost my current one. there normally 8-12 but amazon had one cheap on that add-on program

Hee hee I went out unexpectedly today and I needed tools on a site that I didn't think I would. I bought a set of 7 VDE screwdrivers from the closest wholesaler for 116ZAR which is about six of your UK quids. They're branded as 'Pro'sKit' and I left with just about a full toolkit consisting of 2x side cutters, long nose pliers, the aforementioned screwdrivers, an LED flashlight, a panel multi-key and an 8m tape measure all in a briefcase type toolcase all for under the equivalent of twelve quid after negotiating a 20% discount. C'mon, admit it, you're jealous aren't you. Don't worry I don't hold it against you, I know you're only human

It was cheap and I managed to do what I had to on site but the tape measure is tied up in a big ball in the boot after it refused to retract, the panel key was plastic and the 6mm square key is now 7mm and round on the inside and the 3mm flat screwdriver lost a sliver from the tip so it's more of a scraper than a screwdriver now. Oh and the case decided to lock itself for some reason so I ended up breaking one of the clasps. But hey, you can't have everything I suppose.

I use Wera - I have about 18 of them (all VDE). The quality of the blades is excellent and they don't seem prone to wearing or snapping. I went for them because of the range of sizes (inc both Philips and pozi modulo), the quality, the price (very reasonable), and the widespread availability. I'm not a big fan of the handle style but can live with it. The soft bits attract dirt but clean up OK. I couldn't see the point in paying more for something that is unlikely to be any better.

cant beat facom in my opinion the biggest problem isnt that they break its the fact they usually go walkies before any damage comes to them

If you need to replace any go to Wickes they sell them individually very cheap, they are rebranded as Wickes own but they are the same.
