If a choc bar costs 40p, how many can you get for ÂŁ1?

2½ or 2.5, or 5/2, or 10/4, or just a decent gob full.

Oh, it's just 2 and some change...not many places will sell you half a choc bar...
However, ask a youngster what3 and a half times 17 is and if they mis-key the calculator then the answer might be 3,276.8876, and they'll believe it.
Ask an old-school person and their mind will do a rapid estimate...like this:
3x17 is erm, 51
half of 17 is 8.5
say, 59.5 ish
and if it's 17.35, they'll just add a wee bit , knowing it's just a bit over 60...so calculating a current load is second nature...
3kw is x
3.2kw is x plus a wee bit
and I can't get 2 steak-bakes from greggs for a pound, but I can get 1 and an almond slice

It's much easier to think of our power supply being 250v, it divides easier into 1000. ?‍? its the closest I can get to a cowboy.
