Hi there i was just wondering whether the majority here are now fitting houses with GU10 led's or still using Halogen Gu10's. i ask this as I sell leds and wondered whether it is worth stocking halogens although they seem old hat to me now, i know some people prefer them as a lower initial cost.

Thoughts..?

If people insist on downlights I suggest LEDs but when they compare prices few want to know. Give it a couple of years when they've had to replace all the halogens and the LED prices have dropped a bit more, then they'll come round ....

as you sell thousands of led lamps(you plant bulbs by the way) you should know..

LED LAMPS are just a bit too expensive for a lot of people.

When they come down to a more realistic price then I may take more interest in them.

The ones that look like random surface mount LEDs are bloody awful, I would not want to see them in my house.

Why are the stated equivalent of LED lamps, rarely near the lamp they are supposed to be replacing? When will all wholesalers/retailers quote lumen's output for the LED lamps and then compare it against Halogen? I have noticed the OP does not give any information on there website as to output or beam angle. Are we expected to part with our money without knowing all the story?
