Hi there i was just wondering whether the majority here are now fitting houses with GU10 led's or still using Halogen Gu10's. i ask this as I sell leds and wondered whether it is worth stocking halogens although they seem old hat to me now, i know some people prefer them as a lower initial cost.

Thoughts..?

tony that would be because i am not a limited company and have only been trading as a s p for 3 months, i have hundreds of satisfied ebay customers if you want to start there, or if you want a chat pm me for my phone number

No thanks. I for one would not trade in business with an unregistered company. The VAT problems for a start. I’ve run three registered companies (non to do with the electrical trade). Before I trade I would want to see evidence of stability, fleebay is no indication of that.

[Pedant mode on] Neither Lamp nor bulb are correct if you're referring to a 'light bulb'. Although technically speaking bulb is closer as it's an abbreviation. A lamp is a device capable of producing illumination (gas lamp, oil lamp, electric lamp), it's also a device which can hold one or more light bulbs. [Pedant mode off]

Makes sense when you consider that the word "lamp" and it's true meaning were in common and scientific use centuries before the light bulb came along.

What's right is what my client says. If they ask for 100w lamps, that's what they get, or if they want 100w bulbs they get 100w bulbs and if they ask for 100w glowing things they get them.
