I've got the Clarke one from Machine Mart for about £120. Yes it's noisy, and dusty. Need all the PPE! But with the hoover connected it's not too bad As others have said I would never use it in an occupied house but in refurbs it has saved me loads of time. Makes a perfectly clean cut - you don't risk damaging surrounding plaster. Nice an easy to slip conduit into the chase too. If you select the correct blade width it holds in place without the need for further fixings. The motor is quite powerful and I'm still on the original blades after about half a dozen full renovations. For me this was the compromise option.

i have a wall chase, to be honest not sure what make, was given to me by my dad. creates alot of dust and with harder brick tends to throw bits out. havent tried it one the new hoover, but it did kill the last one! also doesnt go right up to the ceiling so still have to break it out by hand. but if it empty house and dont mind bitm of cleaning then very handy tool

The trick with wall chasers is to get a big enough Hoover with a high suction rate to cope with the dust from 2x 125mm blades cutting at once.I use a Bosch gas50 and a makita wall chaser.cuts without abit of dust in occupied property n all. Only problem with the built in socket is that the Hoover and cutter together is too large a load for a 3 kva transformer and knocks the cutout off

Hi guys
could some one tell me what is the best wall chaser for the cheapest price please.. New .a where should I buy it?
Its about 5'10" answers you back every single thing you tell it to do, makes a crap cup of tea but it saves you having to chase yourself! Its name? The apprentice! You should be able to get one fairly cheaply from most colleges
