Just seeing peoples opinions on the whiska Quixx glands for tails? Bad practice to use them without tails clamps within CU?
 
It stops the copper strands shifting.
I would suggest that binding the strands like this would be a good method where the terminal uses one or more screws bearing directly on the core, as it would protect the strands from damage, rather in the fashion of a bootlace terminal. On a cage clamp type terminal, I don't think it would offer any particular advantage over settling the strands properly into the terminal.

I was about to order around 10 of the Sprint version, which would be considerably more expensive. Also I like the fact the 25/16mm gland is 32mm, as can use my cone cutter which I find quicker and neater than a hole saw.
