Good guess Dave! The photo is fairly appropriate as that cocktail was called a 'Lightbulb Moment'. It was in Leeds not Amsterdam though

We actually stay over near Downings - well actually Dooey; we sail out of the other side further along from the singing pub, from the small harbour - Mulroy and it's coastal station, I see you are in Derry - that's our route: Belfast - Derry - Letterkenny - middle of nowhere (Dooey).

The Big Tesco near the main Police station in Derry is our major port of call to stock up with beer and food for the week!

Temperature is usually ok, it's around the same as here in Scotland - around 13 deg C at depth 15 deg C at the surface (13/15), around the same time of year in Scotland it's around 12/16 deg C just before the lock in in March this year it was 8/4 deg C.

As we spend the most time in the shallows (decompression to avoid the bends) the second figure is more important!
