No matter how much you may hate it, you have a great deal to thank socialism for.
However, I can see this descending into left=bad/good or right=bad/good.

Do you know what socialism is ?

It would appear that you don't quite know what socialism is.

Along with George Galloway, socialism is my pet hate.

Why? What is so bad about socialism? What is so bad about people putting in equally and receiving in equal measure?

Ultimately socialism is about cooperative ownership of the state. It leaves no room for corporate criminals ripping off the poor for personal gain. Socialism is the system that best supports the working class. The one problem is however, for it to work, it needs moderation. There does still need to be an incentive to earn money, hence this is what makes it different from communism, which doesn't work.

You may be thinking of revolutionary socialism, which isn't really socialism at all, it is just taxation and state control.

Real, moderate socialism actually works, unlike any other system.

And you know the problem with socialism is that one day the money will run out.

You make that statement as if there is some sort of national pot of ready money that is spent by the Tories and squandered by the socialists

Yes, trade on a national scale can be compartmentalised to make it seem as if national spending is a simple matter of removing the profit generated from the pocket and dishing it out as seems fit,but in reality national spending is far removed from what you and i think of it on a personal level
Every government,I repeat EVERY GOVERNMENT needs to borrow money to fund what they decide the nation needs
There is a difference in what each party thinks the state should provide, that difference in philosophy is the difference between being a Tory and being a Socialist

By all means choose whichever party suits your leanings but don't for one moment think that state spending is unique to the Socialist, state spending on the whole is not a bad thing for the working man
and is a natural national economic tool only

She knew what she wanted you to think socialism is. Just like she knew that she wanted to convince everyone that running a country is no different from running a home.

What you are summing up is democratic socialism and a hint of left wing nationalism

It was a quote from mrs Thatcher, I think she knew what socialism is.

Thatcher didn't know her ar$e from her elbow. She was a thick, posh moron with nothing but a hatred for the working man.

She didn't know what socialism was, but she did know that whatever it was, it threatened her and her rich mates!

What im summing up is socialism, plain and simple. Add a bit of nationalism into the mix and what you have is... you guessed it... national socialism.

By far the best political system there ever has been and ever will be.
