Anyone else just ticking over at the moment... Or barely? I worked 2 days last week and I've got tomorrow and Friday this week.

Where is all the work??

Been flat out (for me anyway) for a year now. Fortunately been able to space the work out to keep customers happy but this required me to work last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The next job i get with cable / tray work am getting a subby in.
I can understand how anyone who is doing domestic must be struggling as i have largely given up on that sector, just do it for family and friends in the village.

I haven't done anything in the last 3 weeks except the odd mirror or change of socket.

I have resulted to applying for several jobs found on the Job Center Website so see what happens there

Was busy, then nothing for two week, now busy for next three to four months converting offices!!! I have always learned to walk away from those customers that say how much, never believe in buying work to compete with the Electrical Trainee. Besides I think most of the Electrical Trainee are moving into plastic surgery as current shortage of surgeons hehehe!

Looking forward to a job I have to do on the next dry day, fabricating a steel sliding gate 5 x 2 meters, then wiring it up. I love welding!!

Got a couple of consumer units, and EICR and a few circuits to install on a factory to do. Leave them to next week!

Yep i am fairly quite as I do work for a letting agent I checked with what I did for them for the same period last year and i got 30 jobs from 05/04/11 to present day fast forward a year and its 13 jobs for the same period although I have not been resting on my laurels I did some flyers in a area and got ÂŁ200 of work for a rental property they had but as i turned up early I flyered the street and then got ÂŁ550 (with more to come)of work so so far so good.

Just to add this time last year I was getting calls from people saying I want a couple of jobs done and some PAT testing so I would say sorry but it is not economical for me to do it the reply was well dont bother so I tooled up for PAT at a cost of ÂŁ800 and now I dont get these calls ???? sods law I suppose.
