Afternoon Folks, I wonder If somebody could help me trace a product I had assumed would have been easy enough to source.... As the title suggests, it is basically a white version of this - http://www.discount-electrical.co.u...ngle-round-pin-heavy-duty-trailing-socket-15a - to help me make up a short extension lead for a lamp lighting circuit in my living room. Any help would be appreciated as I have been going around in circles following the normal avenues without success!! Thanks in Advance, Leigh

Cant say i know if they do or not, but MK seem to be the only provider of such a thing, in black though. Perhaps another spark on here will have one floating around, or you could try contacting MK directly?

duff link...
Apologies guys, try this - MK Electric Duraplug Black Single Round Pin Heavy Duty Trailing Socket 15A, FC153BLK

@stranded, yes the only colours I could find were MK blacks which surprised me - seem to be plenty of plugs and standard 1G sockets available in white, chrome, etc, but a really limited selection of trailing sockets. I even tried locating a 5A round extension lead just so I could butcher it to remove the trailing socket and make up my own two lengths, but these also seem impossible to come by!
Anyone seen this in existence? As its for the living room, all-white plugs, flex, socket would look a lot nicer.

Thanks Again,
Regards,
Leigh

Try LeGrand. Certainly 5a round pin trailing exist, white I don't know.

OP - whereabouts in the country are you? Slim chance you might find some/old ones in theatrical lighting suppliers. In fact, look up AC Lighting and put a call in.

Black certainly seems the most popular I can't find any white ones though!

I occaisionally crew for a production at our local theatre, we use round pin plugs/sockets all over the place for the lighting, but they are ALL black - along with the cables, the lights themselves, etc etc - for the obvious reason we usually don't want any of it to be seen. I don't see white versions in the catalogs I look at.

Well, there's always the can of spray paint.

Thanks all. I'm in Pembrokeshire so will try and locate some second hand sockets, although not holding out much hope now.
I'll also take a look at LeGrand - I was hoping to find a manufacturer who supplied them in white for domestic purposes.
Thanks for all your help, the search continues...!

5a round pin is fairly standard in India for conventional use as domestic mains power connector. I don't know for sure but this might be an avenue worth pursuing if you really must have white.

Good luck
